Foster & Company, a litigation law firm in Fredericton, New Brunswick is currently seeking an Intermediate/Senior Legal Assistant to join our team.

For this position, the following skills and qualifications are key:

5 years minimum work experience as a legal assistant is essential, preferably in litigation
– Outstanding organizational and time management skills
– Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
– Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality work
– The ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingualism is a strong asset)
– An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and professional discretion
– The ability to work under pressure
– Taking a proactive approach to problem avoidance
– Strong technology skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

The responsibilities with this position include the following:

– Preparing correspondence, memorandums, and various documents
– Assisting with transcription of documents
– Entering time in ITimekeep or PC Law
– Organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files
– Reviewing emails and following up accordingly
– Maintaining a bring forward system to keep files moving forward
– Providing relief reception when required
– Other legal administrative duties as requested
